When Netdisaster was launched, all disasters were silent. Users would regularly suggest that sound be added to the disasters. Sound design is currently underway. That's why some disasters still have no sound.

mute (default)

No sound. This is the default setting, so that users can choose whether they'd like their ears to be assaulted by some dinosaur roar or torn up by some nuclear explosion.
